The Courage Center

Located at the heart of Gorham village, Courage Center operates a 12-16 week intensive outpatient addiction treatment program (IOP) for low income people in recovery from substance use disorder, with sessions held 9:30-12:30pm M-F.

For those in need of lodging while in the program, Courage Center works closely with several houses in the area who can often accommodate our clients while they are in the program.

Courage Center's mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can transition away from addiction and incarceration and grow toward developing a meaningful and productive life.

Courage Center is a secular, MAT-friendly, professionally-staffed clinical treatment program led by people with lived experience of addiction and mental illness.

All of Courage Center's clinical services (IOP, counseling, medical) are reimburable through MaineCare.
